Freeway North Business Park Stage 1
Overview:
Partnering with Hunterland, this industrial development was located north of the existing Freeway Business Park at the end of the M1 motorway at Beresfield. After development of the original Freeway Business Park in 2004 and 2010, this project required the construction of a further 25 large industrial lots, including the clearing of over 25 hectares of vegetation and significant road upgrades to access the newest portion of the site from Weakleys Drive.
Scope of work:
- 25 large industrial lots (including a 15ha site for the proposed Aldi Distribution Centre)
- Extensive bulk earthworks to lots (160,000m3)
- 1.2km of stabilised road pavements and drainage
- Utilities installation (including water, sewer, electrical, NBN and gas)
- Significant lead-in infrastructure

- Level 1 controlled filling to all 25ha of completed earthworks
- Zero lost time Injuries or notifiable incidents
- Zero environmental incidents or notifiable events
- KCE delivered the development on program to a tight schedule
