For the 2017 Newcastle SurfAid Cup KCE has raised an impressive $9 958.10 and picked up 2nd place for the most money raised to support SurfAid. Thank you to everyone that contributed to this great cause.
KCE’s two teams surfed very well on the day. KCE team one got knocked out in the first heat but team two made it all the way to the finals and took home the winner’s trophy for KCE.
Sadly one of KCE’s surfers was injured later in the night and our thoughts are with Jake Sylvester and his family through this very tough time.

This year KCE have entered 2 teams in the SurfAid Cup were we will be surfing against other corporate teams at Merewether Beach as part of the 2017 Surfest event on Friday 24th Feb.
As part of the event, we are aiming to raise at least $5,000 for SURFAID. The top fundraising teams will win the prestigious SurfAid Cup Fundraising Trophy and get to pick first from the selection of pro/legend surfers to join our team for the day.
Any contribution you could make, or arrange to be made by others to help us reach our goal will be greatly appreciated and help towards a great cause.
SURFAID is a non-profit humanitarian organisation whose aim is to improve the health, wellbeing and self-reliance of people living in isolated regions connected to us through surfing. They do great work in areas like the Mentawai Islands and implement malaria programs, community based health, water and sanitation, emergency response and school programs. (Click here to find out more http://www.surfaid.org/).
All funds raised go towards building stronger communities in the Mentawai and Nias islands off the coast of Sumatra, and the islands of Sumba and Sumbawa in eastern Indonesia.
